Chapter 12 – The Subconscious Mind

When my girls were very young, they looked to me to filter their all experiences.  When they found themselves is a new situation, my reaction to it greatly influenced how they felt.  They didn’t have the life experience to tell them what to think about anything.  If I reacted with excitement, pleasure, fun, or positive anticipation, they would react positively.  If I reacted with apprehension, sadness, fear or trepidation, they would feel those same feelings.  My daughters constantly watched me interact with the world.  They accepted my perception as truth.

The subconscious mind is like a small child with no filters.  It accepts everything you tell it as truth.  Would you tell your 5 year old self things you tell yourself now?  If not, stop the recording and change it.
