Mr. Hill states "Persistence is the sustained effort necessary to induce faith".

I always thought persistent just meant to never give up.  As with so many things in this book, there

is so much more to it than that.  Oh, I know a little bit about persistence.  I also discovered the human

mind can pick and choose what you will be persistent about.  Whaaat?  BUT, I have learned that our

mind is one of the very few things, we as humans, have complete control of, so I now know that I

can be persistent in anything I so choose.  If I was persistent enough to get through 34 out of 36

scheduled chemotherapy treatments, be cancer free and still alive after 10 years, I think I can

handle being persistent enough to reach any goal I might have.  I am in control of my mind, I know

that NOW (didn't know that 11 months ago).  Once you know HOW to think, not WHAT to think, your

options are absolutely limitless.  I guess I thought persistence only happened when you had to fight for

your life, but as we all know, how you do anything is how you do everything.  Persistence is my BFF

now--I have it and I know how to use it!!

I guess I've had the 4 steps to develop persistence in me all these years and didn't even know it!  Thank you

all for flipping that switch that allowed me to see the light.  I knew that light bulb was around here somewhere!
