CHAPTER 8 - DECISION - THE MASTERY OF PROCRASTINATION
The Seventh Step toward Riches
We make decisions every day. Everything we say and do is the result of a decision. When making decisions, we should not worry about finding the best. How good we feel about our decision is usually more important than how good it is objectively. This also helps us speed up the decision making process.
Those who reach decisions promptly and definitely, know what they want, and generally get it. The leaders in every walk of life decide quickly, and firmly. That is the major reason why they are leaders. The world has the habit of making room for the man or woman whose words and actions show that they know where they are going.
Decisions have the power to produce great rewards for your life generally and work in particular. They can also have negative consequences that may result in poor quality of life.
In your search for the secret of the method, do not look for a miracle, because you will not find it. You will find only the eternal laws of nature. These laws are available to every person who has the faith and the courage to use them. They may be used to bring freedom to a nation, or to accumulate riches.
A decision of what kind of a person you want to be is a powerful and fundamental decision that will influence all your future choices. Hill tells us "You have a brain and mind of your own. Use it, and reach your own decisions". You will take responsibility for your decisions and personally suffer from or rejoice in the consequences.
The value of our decisions depends upon the courage required to render them. Once a decision is made, stick to it or you will never make a decision. Thank you.
