A loving parent would never send his or her child on a long and distance journey without knowing the child had a place to stay, companions to care for the child and a way He/She could connect with HIs/Her child. There would be a plan from the beginning.
So it was also with God. “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.” Gen 1:1. The place was determined. Then, after all the preparations, “God created man in his own image, in the image of God create he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1: 27
The plan was in motion. The children were on earth and continuing to come, one by one. Now, how could God connect with them?
He gave man/woman a tiny place in their heads, now called the subconscious mind, through which He/She could send messages and hunches. In fact, Hill says, “There is plenty of evidence to support the belief that the subconscious mind is the connecting link between the finite mind of man and Infinite Intelligence. It is the intermediary through which one may draw upon the forces of Infinite Intelligence at will.”
This was so little understood for many years, though a few had visions and inspirations, most did not. The majesty of this gift and the implications for being able to direct my own life are awesome!
Hill said, “I never approach the discussion of the subconscious mind without a feeling of littleness and inferiority due, perhaps, to the fact that man’s entire stock of knowledge on this subject is so pitifully limited. The very fact that the subconscious mind is the medium of communication between the thinking mind of man and Infinite Intelligence is, of itself, a thought which almost paralyzes one’s reason.”
This knowledge was the beginning of mankind’s intellectual understanding that there is a way for me & all people to choose our own path in life with the help of Infinite Intelligence by exhibiting great diligence, consistency, patience and faith.
