Chapter- Autosuggestion

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course
of your life. Avoid all perverse (negative) talk; stay away
from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead and fix your eyes on
what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet;
stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked;  keep your feet
from following evil.” Proverbs 4:23-27

I can’t think of a better verse to really define autosuggestion
than the one above. With autosuggestion, we can determine our
course in life. Through the right autosuggestion, we can block
the negative words that flow around us and within us. Positive auto-
suggestion
will help to stay focused on the right path to the
life we desire.

"Man may become the master of himself, and of his environment,
because he has the power to influence his own subconscious mind
and through it, gain the cooperation of Infinite Intelligence.”
Napoleon Hill

Coming to realize there is a power, a source, or an energy greater
than myself, I have chosen to connect with this Infinite Intelligence
or God as I know Him. Yes, God has placed within me the power to
master myself. He made me for success, not to live in failure. I
have been given the will to heed and influence that inner voice
planted deep within my subconscious. I have the cooperation
of God to make me as He wants me to be.

Furthermore, I have been given absolute control over the materials
or thoughts which reach my subconscious mind. I have been given
the ability to filter everything I see, hear, taste, smell, or
touch. This is the gift to choose what and how to think. I can
influence my subconscious mind; I can change those messages of
the past. I can stop the voices of negative emotions and
awaken the power of the positive emotions given to me by God.

Autosuggestion is the agency of control through which an
individual may voluntarily feed his subconscious mind on
thoughts of a creative nature, or, by neglect, permit thoughts
of a destructive nature to find their way into this rich garden
of the mind.” Napoleon Hill

This autosuggestion or self-talk is the resource given to us to
make changes necessary to have the success or riches which await
us. We have the instructions in the reading of Think and Grow Rich,
go to steps of chapter 2 put them in writing.  Read them aloud with
emotion twice a day. Take the time to concentrate on that which you
are telling yourself. Have the faith to see the success that is ours.

Thanks again to Linda and Michael Dlouhy who built this mastermind
with their self-talk those many years ago. Thanks to Ken Klemm for
being a living example of the power of self-talk. To each on the
calls, thanks for being here and sharing your wisdom.
