Chapter 3 - Faith

"Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without 
reservation." D. Elton Trueblood

Barnes had trust without reservation and the proof 
Barnes had was his own belief.

Ralph Marston has stated "The keys to patience are 
acceptance and faith. Accept things as they are, and 
look realistically at the world around you. Have faith 
in yourself and in the direction you have chosen. 

Barnes had acceptance and faith in the direction he had chosen, he 
realistically looked at the world and what he would be
up against, which was to work at anything, as long as
he was in the employ of Edison. He had patience and was willing to do
any job and he did it to the best of his ability and in
the end the opportunity came and he was able to take
advantege of it as he had already prepared himself for it.

And Joel Osteen has stated "When you focus on being a 
blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance."
