After reading this chapter, I realize one of my greatest fears was my health, particularly prostate problems. Approximately 30 years ago I started having problems with my prostate, after several rounds of treatment that were ineffective. I created a positive affirmation about my prostate. Hill points out that nature has endowed man with absolute control over but one thing and that is his or her thought. I created an affirmation, which I repeated it daily just before going to sleep and the first thing in the morning. Today I take little or no medications for the prostate. The starting point that leads to a strong and healthy prostate is desire. My desire was strong.
I had to get beyond the FEAR, this fear was of a weak prostate. Hill points out, that fear paralyzes the faculty of reason, destroys the faculty of imagination, kills of self-reliance, undermines enthusiasm, discourages initiative, leads to uncertainty of purpose, encourages procrastination, wipes out enthusiasm and make self control an impossibility.
Someone once said - one person with a belief is equal to a force of 99 who have only an interest. Somehow, someway we must develop the knowledge that we are the captain of our thoughts, thoughts are things and powerful things that that. Send a thank you.
Thanks Michael and Linda and all who participate in the weekly calls. These calls make a difference in my daily life.
