Hill put out in this chapter, that most successful people reach decisions quickly and change them slowly if they need to be changed.
When we need to make a decision we should go ahead and make it, then change it if it's necessary. The problem is, that when we need to make a decision we usually procrastate.
We tell ourselves that we need to think about it. If we're not careful the opportunity passes, we only need to make a decision. If we make the wrong decision we can always change it.
Changing a decision is much more profitable then making no decision at all or postponing a decision.
One of Henry Ford's most outstanding qualities what is his habit of reaching decisions quickly and definitely, and changing them slowly. This quality was so pronounced in Mr. Ford that it gave him the reputation of being obstinate. (Hill)
When we need to make a decision, go ahead and make it, change it if necessary. We have all seen good deals missed, good prospects not spoken to and later wish we had made the decision promptly and quickly, our lives would been much better. I have learned that a bad decision is worse than no decision at all. We can always srart over and make a new decision.
Thank Michael for MFF and the weekly calls.
