Chapter 10- Power of the Mastermind
“Power, as the term is here used, refers to the organized effort,
sufficient to enable an individual to transmute desire into its
monetary equivalent. An organized effort is produced through the
coordination of effort of two or more people, who work toward a
definite end, in a spirit of harmony.”
“When a group of individual brains is coordinated and function in
harmony, the increased energy created through that alliance, becomes
available to every individual brain in the group.” Napoleon Hill
If you were to ask anyone who has found success, they will tell you
that they did not achieve success alone. I listen to Darren Hardy and
John Maxwell every day and both speak and praise loudly about the team
around them and the support, talent, and encouragement that each brings
to the table. Even Moses had his Aaron and Hur, who held his arms up when he
grew tired during Israel’s battle against the Amalekites. (Exodus 17:8-16)
Even Steve Jobs had his Steve Woznick when he started building the first personal
computer.
Most network marketers, entrepreneurs, and business owners will have a time
when they feel they are left in the dark. They may feel hopeless, lost, and
without any chance to survive, end up giving up and throwing in that proverbial
towel. Yet, for those who know better, they find mastermind groups who provide
solace and relief from the hammering onslaught of a calamitous financial demise.
During my journey into network marketing, I have felt and endured that darkness,
hopelessness, and loneliness. I can remember the many times, felt abandoned, no
one cares or understands what I any going through. If only I had a mastermind in
the beginning?
What I have discovered is that mastermind groups are essential to operating a
successful business, growing your business entity and achieving your goals and
dreams. The ultimate goal of any mastermind group is to help members navigate
complex and difficult business challenges and issues using the collective
experiences and insights of the larger group.
This is what I have found here at Mentoring for Free, a harmonious mastermind
of open-minded critical thinkers ready to serve, encourage, and support one
another to visions and dreams each member has. I found a kindred spirit where
the ultimate goal is to help members navigate complex and difficult business
challenges and issues using the collective experiences and insights of the
larger group.
Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for their wisdom to start this mastermind
and for leaving a legacy for all of us to follow. I count it a blessing to
have the love, support, and encouragement of all who participate in the weekly
calls
Nathan Grimes.
PS: “If you want a real power, then you must create a very strong and talented
mastermind group!” Unknown
