Chapter 1 - Thoughts are Things
Many times we have heard Michael Dlouhy say "You are perfect just the way
Wayne Dyer wrote basically the same thing - "Everything you need you already have.
You are complete right now, you are a whole, total person, not an apprentice
person on the way to someplace else. Your completeness must be understood by you
and experienced in your thoughts as your own personal reality."
In chapter 1 we read about Edward Barnes and how he went to Edison and
announced he had come to go into business with the inventor. Even though Barnes
did not have money that did not discourage him. He was so determined to find a way
to carry out his desire that he finally decided to travel by “blind baggage,”
rather than be defeated. He stood there before Edison, looking like an ordinary tramp,
but there was something in the expression of his face which conveyed the impression
that he was determined to get what he had come after.
In Barnes mind he was "perfect just the way he was", "everything he needed he
As Wayne Dyer stated "Your completeness must be understood by you and experienced
in your thoughts as your own personal reality."
In Barnes personal reality he was a partner with Edison and he lived it as a reality.
Hill tells us "TRULY, “thoughts are things,” and powerful things at that, WHEN they
are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a BURNING DESIRE for their
translation into riches, or other material objects."
In order to have our thoughts be beneficial for us we have to mix them with definiteness
of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire. It does not just happen.
We will not build our business or any other things in our lives unless we utilize our
thoughts to that end. Otherwise we just think about everything and anything and have
no purpose or burning desire.
Park Won-soon stated "A new era doesn't come from nothing. New thoughts, values and
methods will be established after overcoming various hurdles on the way."
Once we really understand and accept that we are "perfect just the way we are" there
will be no limit to what we can accomplish.
