Chapter 12-The Subconscious Mind

“The subconscious minds work, day and night. The subconscious mind
draws upon the forces of Infinite Intelligence for the power with
which it voluntarily transmutes one’s desires into their physical
equivalent, making use, always of the most practical media by which
this end may be accomplished.”

“Remember, your subconscious mind functions voluntarily, whether
you make an effort to influence it or not. This, naturally, suggests
to you that thoughts of fear and poverty, and all negative thoughts
serve as stimuli to your subconscious mind unless you master these
impulses and give it more desirable food upon which it may feed.”
Napoleon Hill

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts
on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and
admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—
everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace
will be with you. Philippians 4:8.9

We have all heard the quote “An Idle Mind is the Devil’s Workshop” or
how many times have we wished to be able to just stop the thoughts in
our minds, just have a little time in idle, no thoughts racing around
in our heads. The fact is the mind, especially the subconscious mind
never shuts down and if we fail to feed it with positive, highly
vibrating emotional ideas, hunches, and inspiration all the doubts,
fears, naysaying messages planted from the past, news/social media,
and elsewhere will come flooding forward. This is the workshop where
the devil thrives and controls all mankind.

The reality is the devil does not want us to be thinking about positive
things. He distains critical thinkers who seek to find the positive and
good in the world. Regrettable most people allow themselves to be open
to the devil’s controls and wishes.

“It is not so much the aim of the devil to lure me with evil as it is
to preoccupy me with the meaningless.” Donald Miller

I have decided to follow the path to being a critical, positive thinker
not allowing anyone else to do my thinking for me. Be it building a
network marketing business, what I read, who I listen to, and life in
general. To constantly plant new seeds, ideas, and hunches in my subconscious
mind.

Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for building a platform and mastermind
where I could learn how to be a critical thinker and participate with many
other such thinkers.
