FAITH
Has anybody on this call, had a time or times in his or her life where things looked hopeless? The furnace has died and your car needs a new transmission and they happened within a short period of time. Limited funds are in the bank account, and you wonder how you are going to pay for this? I have and I have had situations like this more than once. What is interesting is I always have made it through these times.
Has anybody had times where there was no visible way or outline to make things better? You have your family, home, vehicles, dog, and you go out to dinner once in while. Most are told they should be happy, content, and not to complain. Most individuals end up accepting this and living a life of quiet desperation. I am confident that folks on this call know what I am talking about.
We are here because we want more for our families and us. Not just money, we want the ability to do what we want, when we want, and how we want to do it. In other words we want financial freedom. Money is the medium of exchange for this.
We have the desire as covered in last week’s lesson for this. We, as well need Faith that this can happen.
As Hill discusses, “Faith is the external elixir, which gives life, power and action to the impulse of thought.”
Well faith is the bases of miracles that cannot be analyzed by the rules of science.
Faith is the element that transforms the ordinary vibration f thought, created by the finite mind of man, into a spiritual equivalent.
According to Hill, our subconscious mind through vibration mixed with faith begins to transform into the physical equivalent or counterpart. This can be something positive or negative.
The subconscious mind will translate a thought impulse of a negative or destructive nature, just as it would from a positive or constructive nature into the physical equivalent.
Today, just as in Hill’s time millions of people believe themselves doomed to poverty and failure and they have no control over this. No surprise of this in today’s environment. According to most of the media, many of us our victims of whatever, and one’s misfortune is frequently someone else’s fault. Most of the wealthy got lucky, and need to put more skin in the game and pay their fair share. Blah Blah.. The worse part of this is so many buy into this garbage!
Now there are less than fortunate situations that come to people who were not asking for it. Many, misfortunes, however, are created by the individuals themselves.
Many watch at least one news program daily from start to finish, along with prime time programs, which could send negative thought impulses through their subconscious mind.
In turn they are living a life of quiet desperation.
In other words they have little to no faith in themselves.
As Michael frequently says, “Turn of the news!”
I will admit it took me years to understand Faith. I always worked hard, studied hard, and had ambition. I, however, failed or fell short of my goal many times. In turn I would become negative.
This all change over a decade ago, when I was diagnosed with the large Brain Tumor. According to the VA staff, I had a seventy five percent chance of living, which was the good part. Most likely I would have limited cognitive function for the remainder of my life.
That is when Marno, my wife step in the game. She got me out of VA Hospital to a private Hospital, where my surgery was performed.
The surgery was done by Dr. Kennedy, the recommended Neuro Surgeon in our area, along with the number one anesthesia team in the area. The surgery was a success and I made progress at a quicker rate than expected.
If Marno had not pulled me from the VA I would not had made it. They scheduled the surgery for a month out claiming that this was a serious, but not urgent matter.
My system was beginning to shut down at the time my surgery began.
This situation gave me a perspective. God really is there, and God really cares. Times may be bleak, but one can get through them is they have Faith in God and themselves.
I know I can and will succeed in the long run.
Mentoring for Free has helped me as well. I look forward to the weekly calls with likeminded people. Thank you Michael and Linda for this wonderful program. Thank you Rick for reaching out to me. Thank you to everyone on these calls.
Hebrews chapter eleven verse number one, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
