Chapter 6 Imagination
THE WORKSHOP OF THE MIND
The Fifth Step Toward Riches
The imagination is literally the workshop where the invisible and immaterial thoughts, ideas and plans materialize and manifest themselves in the material world. This is where thoughts become things.
What we create is only limited by our own imaginations. So it is important to develop our imagination, much like we would develop our muscles through proper nutrition and exercise. We must also stimulate our imaginations through creative thought by utilizing both the synthetic and creative imagination processes. If our own imaginations are limited they can be magnified by the imaginations of the other members of our mastermind group. After all, iron sharpens iron!
The synthetic imagination is the process most often used by the inventor where he draws upon old concepts, previous ideas, and existing plans and combines them into something new and marvelous.
But on occasion it is impossible to solve all problems using this method, so he must rely on the creative process to create something entirely new! This is the place where the inventor communicates directly with infinite intelligence, the universal mind, God or what ever you prefer to call it.
While communicating with infinite intelligence we are able to receive hunches and inspirations that do not come to us in any other way.
Because the brain acts as both a transmitter and receiver of thoughts we have the power to tune into the subconscious minds of other men and women and can send/receive new ideas that will help us create what ever it is we want in life.
The creative imagination can only be activated by a strong burning desire that is focused upon by the conscious mind.
Both the synthetic and creative faculties of imagination become more alert with use, just as any muscle or organ of the body develops through use.
Desire is only a thought, it must be given wheels to propel it into motion so it can take the individual/group to the desired destination, whether the destination be fame, fortune or notoriety.
While using synthetic imagination roadblocks may be encountered and therefore will have to be overcome by use of creative imagination. Creative imagination that may have become dull due to non usage. As we "grow up" and turn into adults we often lose the creative ability of imagination due to peer pressure that it is somehow "childish", but we can learn a lot from small children who do spend time worrying about what other think about them or their ideas!
The good news is that imagination does not die, it can be turned on again and used to draw upon the existing synthetic resources where most plans are formed to turn desire(s) into something tangible such as money and lot's of it if one so desires!
The key is to think big, dream big and never let anyone make you feel like your dream's, idea's and imagination's are childish.
