In the beginning, we Imagine what it would be like to have an extra $300. We close our eyes and see those Ben Franklin bills in our mind. We envision what it would be like to pay off a credit card or to take a family vacation. We dare to envision that $300 turning into $500 or $1000 or more. Our Imagination is gradually stretched as we move up the ladder of success. That journey looks different for each one of us, but the common denominator is daily action fueled by the creative force of Imagination.
Lately I’ve been learning new graphic design skills that are taking my Facebook and Instagram posts to a “whole ‘notha level.” There are so many amazing apps available for iPhones and Androids that make this so much fun and rewarding. Tutorials on YouTube have taught me the basics and my Imagination is now being unleashed. (And because I've become a critical thinker through Mentoring For Free, I've become more proactive about finding the information that I need.)
When I look back on my FB and IG posts six months ago, I see a lot of Plain Jane pictures and texts. I posted too many boring ads and my pictures were ho-hum. Now that I’ve learned to use my Imagination in creating posts, I’m seeing the results.
Last night I used an app called Rhonna Designs to create a post advertising my company’s flagship product. I started with a company compliant picture, added a vibrant green border around it and used the Glossy font (that is way cool) within the border. Ta-da! The picture was totally compliant; I just added some zip-a-dee-do-dah around it. I had created a post with sizzle!
Within literally TWO minutes after posting, I received a Comment from a Facebook friend. “I want to talk to you about this!”
Tonight during my conversation with her, she told me that she and her mother spent 45 minutes (45 minutes!!!) going through all my Facebook posts. They had studied my products, had seen me using the products in my posts, and viewed my great results. She went on and on (Yes, she's Blue!) about how she can’t wait to get together with me .
Yes, I love my products! Yes, I’ve learned (and continue to learn) skills! But Imagination is KEY in achieving the Results that will take us to the Top.
