Chapter 2: Desire the Starting
Point of All Achievement
“Every human being who reaches the age of understanding
of the purpose of money- wishes for it. Wishing will not
bring riches. But desiring riches with a state of mind
that becomes an obsession, then planning definite ways
and means to acquire riches, and backing those plans with
persistence which does not recognize failure, will bring
riches.” Napoleon Hill
Many come to network marketing wishing to become rich.
Some buy into or sold on the idea or notion that this is
a quick path to riches, you can just put your hands out
and the money will just roll in with no effort. The shock
comes when they discover that this net-WORK marketing.
Jesus told the story of two men who built a house. The first
chose to build his house on a foundation of stone while the
second chose to build on sand. They finished their homes and
were incredibly pleased. Later a heavy rain came causing the
water to rise and wash against the house. Now the house built
in the stone foundation withstood the flooding water while
the one built on sand was washed away and all was lost.
I have seen house or business build on sand of vague promises,
“Buy these leads they are people ready to join you”, or “You
will be automated, and all the work will do for you”, or “You
will be put at top of this team that is already successful” only
to see every one of them fail and taking your money with them.
I now choose to build on a firm foundation, a system that has
proven to work time and time again. A system that works when
you follow it and do the work necessary. This is what I have
found here at Mentoring for Free. All we are asked to do is
to read the e-book, “Success in 10 Steps”, listen to 3 audio
skills calls, and have a coaching call with Michael Dlouhy. To
reinforce the foundation, we now have a boot camp. And it is
all for free.
We have the opportunity to share this system with anyone by
simply opening the doors to Mentoring for Free and helping
them. Using the system to attract anyone you desire and
building the know-like-trust factor.
It is like Hill's simple plan or system: Fix your mind on what
you want, decide what you intend to give in return, set a
date to have, create a written plan, have a defining statement,
and read that statement daily with faith, consistency, and
Thank you, Linda and Michael Dlouhy for your friendship and
deep-seated desire to help as many as possible to be successful
in this industry. My gratitude to everyone who participates on
the calls and shares their brilliance every week.
