I have been listening to a series from Leaders in my company calls People of Impact. There are so many great ones on there but the one I keep coming back to is a young lady who grew up in the Muslim faith in Africa. She had so many fears to overcome and overcome all of them she did. I can’t wait to run into her and tell her how much her interview meant to me at our next live conference. Talk about the fear of criticism, she had to overcome so much because of culture alone in a faith that seems to treat women like second class.
She was told as a child to not look up or she would break her neck. To not dream because her dreams would never come true. One quote I loved that she said was when your desire to change was bigger than your fear to change is when you would discover the purpose of your life. Her session is was titled The Power To Rewrite Your Story. And we all need to rewrite our stories. The great thing is, IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO DO SO!
I have a quote that’s credited to George Addair that says “ Everything you have ever wanted is sitting just on the other side of fear.” I have also heard it stated that Everything you have ever wanted is just on the other side of your comfort zone. Isn’t fear and the comfort zone one in the same? This chapter is so rich that Hill could have written a book on just fear alone and he basically did.
Oh and I almost didn’t even write this lesson after reading Ken Klemms . It was so good that I didn’t think there was anything I could add till I started listening to Marwa. He has put out so many good lessons since all the nonsense that has taken place during the last surreal year. But this one was so right on, he just absolutely nailed it 100%.
Thank you Linda and Michael Dlouhy for this platform that we can discuss and analyze our fears because that is truly the only thing that holds anyone from anything they want in life. Thanks to all my friends and mastermind partners for our weekly sessions.
