Think & Grow Rich Lessons

I have been listening to a Big Al Training I have had for some time now at the gym while i’m working out. It’s called How To Manipulate and Control the minds of others for fun and profit. He makes the statement in it that your conscious mind is about the size of a pea but the subconscious mind is the size of the hotel that the training was taking place. He explains that although the subconscious is that big and controls the functions of the body, stores all the information it does, it’s actually dumb as a rock. It will believe ANYTHING you tell it as long as you repeat it long enough with emotion. He gives a series of magic words that neutralize the brain and keep it from reacting with a salesman alert. For instance, one sequence of words There Are Two Kinds Of People he says will make people instantly stop and listen, absolutely freeze their brains, they have to know what those two types of people they are and he demonstrates it. The way he does it is undeniable.

If we take the time to learn the skills instead of just puking all over people we can use it to a huge advantage for us.

In the chapter on sex transmutation Hill tells us that “A river may be dammed, and its water controlled for a time, but eventually, it will force an outlet. The same is true of the emotion of sex. It may be submerged and controlled for a time, but its very nature causes it to be ever seeking means of expression”. Well I think the same thing is true about negativity! It can be dammed temporarily by shutting out ALL of if but if you don’t continually reprogram by positive self talk it is so easy to slip back in. It’s not an easy job to control negativity though, takes continuous work and personal development always. That’s why when people say they don’t have time for it or leave it out of the equation they have basically sentenced themselves to failure.

I knew all of this and yet when the election came and was stolen, speech was censored, and so much disinformation was going around I sought the “truthful news” from the sources I thought I could halfway trust. However the thing about news no matter what side it comes from is it’s negative. That’s the reality…ALL THE NEWS IS NEGATIVE….whether it’s truthful or not. Negativity is insidious, it sneaks in sometimes unnoticed and starts to eat at you like a cancer. Michael really gave me a wake up call to where I was at on the Coach’s Corner call when he said that he does not worry about the things he can’t control. I always thought the same way about politics..the only thing I can control is how I vote, and now the vote is history but I have determined that I still have control of the life and lifestyle I can build through my business so will focus on that completely

When Hill tells us that one negative thought is many times more powerful than a positive one he wasn’t just talking to the wall, it’s absolute truth. This one that almost took me out because it was tied to an EMOTION that was so powerful which was the possibility of my loss of freedom that i have had for 67 years. I made a decision that I would turn off all news again and went through the whole day without it yesterday and it really felt good. I will go without it today too, and tomorrow and the next doing my self talk more than ever as I rebuild what I lost. I should have known better. My bad. I also live with one in severe depression and didn't realize how much that, combined with all the other stuff that has been going on this past year has been wearing on and affecting me. I think I might need a double dose of personal development!

I have a friend the next block over that told me a couple of weeks ago that she always got sick in January. Didn’t think to much of it till I talked to her this morning and she told me she was in bed as sick as a dog…hmmmmm….the power of the subconscious mind. She spoke it into existence! We sure have to be aware of what we are thinking constantly.

Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for this platform and thanks to Michael for getting my head straight Saturday night. That call was a wake up. Anytime you think you can skip on some of these calls might just be the day or night that you get that ONE aha that saves your life. And thanks to my friends and mastermind partners for your presence and participation each week!
