“Knowledge will not attract money unless it is organized, and intelligently directed, through practical plans of action to the definite end of accumulation of money.  Lack of understanding of this fact has been the source of confusion to millions of people who falsely believe that ‘knowledge is power’.  It is nothing of the sort!  Knowledge is only potential power.  It becomes power only when, and if, it is organized into definite plans of action and directed to a definite end.”  -  Napoleon Hill, Think And Grow Rich

“Knowledge only becomes useful when it is successfully applied.  Knowing without doing only frustrates you and dilutes your strength.  So it’s never knowledge alone that gets you what you want.  It’s where you come from.  The inner stance that you operate from will determine how successful you are at taking on new knowledge and getting it successfully implemented.”  -  Dusan Djukich, Straight-Line Leadership

According to Djukich, our “inner stance” is how we approach life in general and how we deal with circumstances.  For example, Djukich gives an example of a slumping baseballer who works on his stance with his batting coach.  Soon, due to various changes, his changed stance makes him a threat in the batter’s box.

The people in this book had a strong inner stance.  Henry Ford exhibited his strong inner stance when he developed his line of revolutionary automobiles, and, much later, he defended his reputation on the witness stand when he was accused of being uneducated.  Andrew Carnegie’s unbreakable inner stance propelled him to unimaginable riches as the head of the steel industry on Earth.  Dan Halpin’s inner stance led to success not just on the football field, but also in the world of business.  And Napoleon Hill, the author of this fine book, proved that a strong inner stance can lead not only to meetings with 25,000 people of all success levels, but also to producing a report on how the most successful people become that way.  The name of that report?  Think And Grow Rich.

How do we work on our inner stances in marketing?  Not just learning the skills to succeed, not just changing our mindset, but by actually changing our inner stance with help from our personal coaches.  Only then can we truly succeed in life and in business.
