Think & Grow Rich Lessons

As I opened up the chapter on thoughts this time around I saw a note that I had made that says April 21st JC. On that day I had read the devotional in Jesus Calling about thoughts and revisited it. Here is what it said….

LET ME CONTROL YOUR MIND!! The mind is the most restless, unruly part of mankind. Long after you learn the discipline of holding your tongue, your thoughts defy your will and set themselves up against Me. Man is the pinnacle of my creation, and the human mind is wondrously complex. I risked all by granting you freedom to think for yourself. This is Godlike privilege, forever setting you apart from animals and robots. I made you in My image, precariously close to deity.

Though My blood has fully redeemed you, your mind is the last bastion of rebellion. Open yourself to My radiant presence, letting My light permeate your thinking. When my spirit is controlling your mind you are filled with LIFE and Peace.

After witnessing the media circus last night I opened up Facebook this morning to see a post by an acquaintance from an Alabama football group. Here was the post…I can understand that Trump may win! I believe that might be biblical and he will be the one to steer us into Armageddon. But what I can’t understand is how a person not from this state, doesn’t know the people or their ways and only moved here to run for office can win against someone who grew up here and has fought and knows the land! Some people are just a special kind of stupid!

The man who grew up here in this state supported protecting criminals in sanctuary cities, killing babies all the way up to full term, impeaching our president for no reason, and changing the names of our military bases. I would gladly vote for a man from anywhere other than our state (even if he did coach at Auburn…lol) as long as stood up for what is right so I hope he was standing in front of the mirror when he made that last statement and how I wanted to say so but then I looked back at the second sentence in that first paragraph about the discipline of holding your tongue. Yes thoughts are things but sometimes you have to know when to voice them speaking words that will help tame our rebellious subconscious mind through positive self talk or just suppress them and go along because you know that arguing would do no good with someone like that. As Michael said before, “never wrestle with a pig in the mud because the pig likes it and you're both going to get dirty.”

Better to use the energy towards using those thoughts towards positive self talk that will lead you to the conviction to never waste time and make your dream happen now. As I was listing to a video on becoming a person of impact by a person named Jeff Ekhart, he said “ when your  conviction is unshakable, your influence is unstoppable. I need to use my energy to applying positive self talk and visualization that will help me accomplish that dream. I want to become unstoppable!

Every day in my gratitude  for good health, as I name off each body part I never forget to include the brain because it's such an important part. I give thanks for having common sense, for having discernment, and for being able to think critically which the person who made the post was obviously not able to, so I appreciate that gift.  When you come to realize that the subconscious minds main purpose is to protect you, not help you succeed then you have to do your part in training it to do so because it's well-equipped for that task. It is just rebellious like I three month old puppy and needs help through self talk and visualization.

Thank you Linda and Michael Dlouhy for the thoughts that led to this platform and mastermind and thank you to all my friends and mastermind partners for your input each and every week.
