Think and Grow Rich – Chapter 14

The Sixth Sense

So!  Here we are…at the end of Think and Grow Rich.  Wahoo!

If you are starting with us today, take heart!  It’s always good to know the end before the process, the real goal for which we strive. Well, what is it…the goal???  Hill says. It is “the SIXTH SENSE, through which Infinite Intelligence (God to me) may and will communicate voluntarily without any effort from or demands by the individual.”  Meaning ME.

Can we read Chapter 14 and skip the lessons that prepare us for this final ability?  Uhhhh…..Nope!  Can we skim through the whole book and develop this skill?  Nope!  Can we read and reread this book and apply the lessons of each chapter to ourselves with determination and patience over and over again, then slowly incorporate the characteristics Hill teaches to prepare us for developing the SIXTH SENSE into our lives on a daily basis…YES!!!  And that’s what it takes.

Is it worth it?  Only if we want constant communication with the Infinite Intelligence (or God) on a daily basis?  Would you?  Then stay with us on this journey, write your own lessons and receive your own messages.  Every reading of this book presents a deeper understanding and builds our skills to be able to discern messages that, even now, are sent to us daily and go unnoticed.  Will it help in your business?  Will it help in ALL your relationships?  Will it help you to recognize truth?  YES, YES, and YES!

OK, now here’s what Hill says we need to do to succeed.  “The sixth sense defies description! It cannot be described to a person who has not mastered the other principles of this philosophy, because such a person has no knowledge, and no experience with which the sixth sense may be compared. Understanding of the sixth sense comes only by meditation through mind development from within.” It is both physical and spiritual.  Without the building principles in the earlier chapters, we would be like a lame person placed at the starting line of a marathon.  The tools even to participate with his feet would not be there.

As we begin this trek, most of us see as though we are in a 3D movie without any special glasses.  Things are distinguishable for the most part, but blurry.  Then, through studying, applying the lessons, meditating and putting on the characteristics Hill like “putting on” our 3D glasses and the picture becomes much clearer.

Thanks so much to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for helping us put on our 3D glasses week by week and integrate these characteristics into ourselves.  Thanks to all of you who participate in any way!
