Hill tells us “Through the aid of the sixth sense, you will be warned of impending dangers in time to avoid them, and notified of opportunities in time to embrace them.

There comes to your aid, and to do your bidding, with the development of the sixth sense, a “guardian angel” who will open to you at all times the door to the Temple of Wisdom”.

He also tells us that this sense will most likely not be developed until we have mastered the other principles and at a later age. I have had this sense from my mid 20s and I think the reason for it is the profession that I was in. I have had over 35 years of driving a truck all over the United States and Canada without a chargeable accident in that time. I am not saying that I am some super driver by any means but being taught defensive driving and having awareness has helped immensely.

However I have had a lot of close calls and I credit avoiding them because of this sense. I also think that awareness has so much to do with that. As a driver I was always taught to constantly scan the mirrors every 2 to 5 seconds back-and-forth to see what was behind me. I was always looking at the tree line on the shoulder of the road to see what might run out in front of me. I always anticipated in my mind different scenarios that could happen and what I would do to get out of them if they should. But as good at driving as I thought I might have done there was still a guardian angel watching over me. And all that time I have never even hit a deer which is almost unreal because most drivers have hit multiple deer in their career. That's why a lot companies will put the deer bumpers on the front of the truck because late figure hey it's just going to happen. I have had a lot of close calls where I have missed them by inches though.

I have some friends with two sons living in Chicago and one has been mugged two different times all because he was looking down at his cell phone and was not aware of his surroundings. You have to be aware of what's going around you no matter what you're doing 24/7. I look at a lot of stories of accidents, silly ones you might think that resulted in someone's death and wonder how could that happen. I have a feeling inside of me it’s because they were just not focused on what they were doing at the time and lack of awareness

Recently as hurricane Sally was approaching and it was pretty evident that we were going to take a direct hit I had a hunch that maybe I should move my car and my daughters to the parking lot behind us with a lot less trees and did so. I heard trees falling and cracking branches all night long and when I stepped out the next morning I could barely get out the back door for all the trees against the house. There where we normally park our cars were some huge ones that would've crushed both of them. Thank goodness for the sixth sense!

Thank you to Linda and Michael to Dlouhy for having the hunch that starting a program like this to give back could help so many people because it truly has. And thank you to all my friends and mastermind partners for sharing your brilliance with me weekly!
