CHAPTER 14-The Sixth Sense: The Door
To The Temple Of Wisdom

All men have become what they are, because of their dominating thoughts
and desires
. Every deeply seated desire has the effect of causing one
to seek outward expression through which that desire may be transmuted
into reality. I know that self-talk is a powerful factor in building
character, in fact, the sole principle through which character is built.

Mr. Hill wrote these words spoken to him by Lincoln is a dream, “The world
will soon need your services,” This statement was an “aha” moment for me.
It was as if my eyes and ears were opened to an inner voice and loud shout
from a distance.

“Understanding of the sixth sense comes only by meditation through mind
development from within. The sixth sense probably is the medium of contact
between the finite mind of man and Infinite Intelligence, and for this
reason, it is a mixture of both the mental and the spiritual. It is believed
to be the point at which the mind of man contacts the Universal Mind.”
Napoleon Hill

Most of you know that I was in the ministry for much of my life. I started
preaching and teaching when I was 16. When I was 20 when I was offered my
first church as a full-time minister. This started my career as an active
ministry servant.

After 10 years I was offered a position doing financial service for ministers
which I did for 12 years.  For over 35 years I was in estate planning and
financial service. It was during this time I started and re-started in Network
Marketing hoping to find a way to better serve my clients and customers.

I see now more than ever God has called me to a servant’s role. This really brought
home by some of those with whom I have met, connected, and built rapport. One of
the questions asked is, “What is this “Mentor with a Servant’s Heart” which is
how I close all my messages. Just this week I received this message, “Hmmmm,
"mentors with a servant’s heart."  So, are you a Christ-follower?  Or was it just
a reference to serving others?  What do you do?” My answer was “BOTH”.

Having been asked this question a few times I had to stop and think about what
it means to have a servant’s heart. I reasoned that my best answer in the writings
of the apostle Paul:

“Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want
what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t
force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t
keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure
in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always. Always looks
for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.” (I Corinthians 13)

For me “Mentor with a Servant’s Heart” is my WHY. This is my sixth sense at work.
I have made it my aim to help anyone who needs help in their personal and business
development, without any other agenda but to serve. I have been blessed with skills
and talents that I want to share.”

When there are some many who want more out of life, as a mentor my responsibility
is be an example of the loving serving spirit as described above.

Thank you, Linda and Michael Dlouhy, for following your sixth sense when you were moved
to create this mastermind Mentoring for Free to support and encourage networkers such
as me. Many thanks to everyone who participates in the weekly calls bringing your
brilliance and sharing your wisdom.
