CHAPTER 9 Persistence: The Sustained
Effort Necessary to Induce Faith

Persistence rather your look at is as perseverance, tenacity,
determination
 or resolve is an essential factor in the procedure
of transmuting desire into its monetary equivalent.

“The majority of men meet with failure because of their lack of
persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which
fail.” Napoleon Hill

Just how much persistence must we have to be successful in network
marketing? I choose to look to the sea as a lesson in why defiance
of persistence is needed. Every shipmaster plans the movement in or
out of a port base on the persistence of the tides of the sea. Tides
are commonly semi-diurnal meaning two high-waters and two low-waters
or diurnal meaning to the tidal cycle per day.

To pilot my ship, The Networker, I must be as persistent as the tides,
to stay focused, at all times, in all conditions, and ready to take
action always. Rather at high tide or low tide have a plan of action
which to move me forward. To heed the calls to “Be here a year from
now" and “Today is the first day to the rest of your life.”

I have also chosen to apply the admonition of the Scripture to practice
persistence in everything I do.  "And let us not grow weary of doing
good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." Galatians 6.9

When I am weary or tired keep-on going. When the tide is lower due to
high winds hold to the rope of a strong harmonious mastermind and the
support of committed mentors. Just know the high tide does come and be
ready to move at full power.

Also, hear these words, “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed;
perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken;
struck down, but not destroyed." Corinthians 4:8

Persistence moves me past problems and my path around roadblocks.
Persistence will close my ears to the naysayers and be my positive shield
against all negativity.

Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy, to all my mastermind partners for
the lesson of persistence you bring to this mastermind group every week.
My deep gratitude to everyone who receives “Success in 10 Steps” and
allows me to be a part of their life.
