Chapter 7-Organized Planning
The Crystallization of Desire into Action
The most intelligent man living cannot succeed in accumulating
money—nor in any other undertaking—without plans which are
practical and workable. Just keep this fact in mind, and remember
when your plans fail, that temporary defeat is not permanent
failure. It may only mean that your plans have not been sound.
Build other plans. Start all over again.
Temporary defeat should mean only one thing, the certain knowledge
that there is something wrong with your plan. Millions of men go
through life in misery and poverty, because they lack a sound plan
through which to accumulate a fortune.
The oldest of admonitions is "Man know thyself!" Napoleon Hill
The statement, ‘Man know thyself’ is attributed to Socrates. The
basic explanation for the term ‘man know thyself’ is that Knowledge of oneself leads to a possible mastery of self and development of
self for the benefit of self, others, and the society at large.
“Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength, mastering yourself is true power.”
I conclude for me to master myself, I must have an organized plan
for being the networker marketer I desire to be. A plan to be a
winner and never a quitter. A plan a follower of a workable system
that will lead me to be the leader I am intended to be.
I desire to be a giver to help others and make them feel better but
it’s also important to get to know myself as well. I must follow
the major attributes of leadership. I need to understand myself just
the way I want to understand others.
For me to be a leader I must make a searching and fearless moral
inventory of myself. A search for the attributes I need, an inventory
of my compass being sure it is not set on those major causes of failure
I choose today to avoid any of the 30 major causes of failure that I
have used or applied at any time in my past. The “I am” of today is not
and will not be the “me” of yesterday. I have a well-defined purpose,
based on strong ambition, with self-discipline, and no procrastination.
