Hill tells us “MAN’S ONLY LIMITATION, within reason, LIES IN HIS DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF HIS IMAGINATION. He has not yet reached the apex of development in the use of his imaginative faculty. He has merely discovered that he has an imagination, and has commenced to use it in a very elementary way.
During this China virus lockdown my gym was closed so I turned to walking along the bay. Much harder on my knees than the elliptical but still some cardio, however my muscle has deteriorated especially in the upper body from the lack of use. That’s just the way the imagination works, it also deteriorates from the lack of use. So why do we quit using it? From people like parents and friends telling us that our ideas are scams or stupid and just won’t work. To just go get a good job. Something Big Al says comes to mind with that sentence. We get up in the morning, we go to work, we come home and watch TV. Pretty easy to see how we can lose our imagination.
I heard someone say in the last couple of days that one of the hardest things in MLM is to make what’s boring exciting…that takes some imagination. What is the difference between posting a picture of your product on social media with the features and benefits ( your company can do that and wouldn’t need you ) and taking the time to visualize and imagine what would excite your prospect to make a decision? Telling them a great story with your experience of the product or how excited you are to start living your dream and not just roll over and die with your music still in you would be a good use of imagination. painted a great picture in his sermon using his imagination of what he would do with the million dollars to the man who would bring it to him the next morning! Hill says that if “we don’t see great riches in our imagination we will never see them in our bank accounts”.
I heard a trainer say that good leaders are visionaries and visionaries have to have superb imaginations, look at Steve Jobs for example. We have to learn the art of selling dreams, solutions to a persons problems.
Thank you Linda and Michael Dlouhy for your imagination in creating a platform to help so many others reach their dreams and thanks to my friends and mastermind partners for sharing your dreams and insights!
