Hill tells us “THERE are two kinds of knowledge. One is general, the other is specialized. General knowledge, no matter how great in quantity or variety it may be, is of but little use in the accumulation of money. The faculties of the great universities possess, in the aggregate, practically every form of general knowledge known to civilization. Most of the professors have but little or no money. They specialize on teaching knowledge, but they do not specialize on the organization, or the use of knowledge.”

Ever know someone who just knows everything ( or at least think they do ) ? Well I had an old high school friend on Facebook that does that on every post anyone makes whether it’s diet, political, sports..(He played college football at Tennessee). I saw an article about our last QB at Bama and the agent was saying what a positive person he is and what a pleasure he is to be around, how is family is so nice…and all of that true. I gave a disclaimer about this being nothing to do with Bama football but a post about positivity in the midst of this China virus while everyone was quarantined and here comes his usual comments about general knowledge…his agent had to say that, that’s what he’s paid for…he of course knew all this because he played. I told him to go back and re read the first of my post which stated it was about positivity and he still persisted. I finally unfriended him and immediately was glad I did and wondered why it took me so long. So that general knowledge really got him no where and I had other friends tell me they had done the same for the same reasons. That knowledge certainly wasn’t making him money like specialized knowledge would have and caused him to lose a few friends too. Mabye specialized knowledge in the form of a book called How to Make Friends And Influence People just might have taken him in a different direction. The people skills he might have learned could have built a lot of relationships.

Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for the specialized knowledge that this platform provides, the kind that we can utilize to make a living with. And thanks to my friends and mastermind partners for sharing your brilliance every week.
