Chapter 4 - Suto-Suggestion
Hill tells us "The actual performance of transmuting DESIRE into money,
involves the use of auto-suggestion as an agency by which
one may reach, and influence, the subconscious mind. The
other principles are simply tools with which to apply
auto-suggestion. Keep this thought in mind, and you will,
at all times, be conscious of the important part the
principle of auto-suggestion is to play in your efforts
to accumulate money through the methods described in this book."
Hill mentioned that auto-suggestion is a very important part
of accumulating money and the other principles in his book
are "simply tools".
Michael Dlouhy has talked about a lot of tools that he uses
in construction. He has also told us that his success in
Network Marketing was because of his "self talk."
What we tell ourselves is so important that both Hill and
Michael Dlouhy has put it as "most important."
I think if we really heard ourselves when we talk to ourselves
we would be shocked by what we say.
Hill tells us "Your ability to use the principle of auto-suggestion
will depend, very largely, upon your capacity to CONCENTRATE upon
a given DESIRE until that desire becomes a BURNING OBSESSION."
When we first begin to say our "self talk" it will take
CONCENTRATION to stay with it. Once we have trained ourselves
to say our self talk many hundreds of times a day we will find
ourselves saying it without even realizing it. Our self talk
then becomes our reality and we are "in the now" as Michael states.
