CHAPTER 1-INTRODUCTION “THOUGHT ARE THINGS”

“If you realized just how powerful your thoughts are, you would
never think a negative thought.” Anonymous

“Thoughts are things” and very powerful things. Just mix it with
definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire. They
can be translated into riches or other material objects.”
Napoleon Hill

Don’t sell your thought too short! Many, many times I have been
asked the question, “A penny for your thoughts?” In the past, I
have not given much thought or time to this question. No longer!
I have come to realize my thoughts, ideas, hunches, and
inspirations are of far greater value even millions and millions.

Edwin Barnes was a millionaire the day he got in the freight car.
His desire to be in business with Thomas Edison was going to be
fulfilled even on the day he stood in front of Edison looking like
a bum. His dream was not diminished during those 5 years he
worked for Edison before opportunities opened to him.

R. U Darby still had the desire, thought of making his fortune even
after the gold mines of his uncle and him seemingly gave out. Yes,
they left it to find out later they had quit just 3 feet from the
mother lode. Yet, he didn’t quit on himself but found his fortune in
the gold mine of insurance sales. He took the stance that “no 3 feet
would stop me.”

“When you say to yourself, 'I am going to have a pleasant visit or a
pleasant journey,' you are literally sending elements and forces ahead
of your body that will arrange things to make your visit or journey
pleasant...Our thoughts, or in other words, our state of mind, is ever
at work 'fixing up' things good or bad in advance.” Prentice Mulford

I am on a pleasant journey. In my mind, thoughts, and dreams I see myself
being successful in my network marketing business. I see being able to
give sons, grandkids, and now great-grandsons a legacy of success and hope.

Over the past week, I have been asked many times, “How are you and Connie
in these interesting times?” My answer has been, “We are doing well even
in these times. We have chosen to put a smile on our faces with the
assurance that God has our backs and hearts covered.” And that’s the whole
truth and nothing but the truth.

Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy, you followed your thoughts and dreams
all the way and left a trail for us to follow. Many thanks to everyone who
participates on the weekly for living your thought before us all. I deeply ]
appreciate everyone who downloaded “Success in 10 Steps” and allows me to
visit and mentor you.
