I always used to think of autosuggestion as just simply rote, repetitive sayings, like those trendy tapes they used to have back in the 80s. You just repeat the same thing over and over again until you believe it. It's not quite that simple. It is all self-stimuli that reaches the subconscious through being picked up by the five senses. We provide the stimuli voluntarily, but if not mixed with strong emotion, our efforts are in vain. We can either allow negative thoughts to enter the subconscious mind by doing nothing, but by acting on it, we can implant positive ones there.
The chapter lays out six steps which were discussed in Chapter 2 to create that desire for what you truly want and then impress it upon the subconscious mind until it becomes a burning desire and until the subconscious mind accepts these thoughts in absolute faith. This process will take some time, so don't be discouraged. All you need to do to start is have a definite result you want to happen in mind for eg. a specific amount of money and see yourself in actual possesion of it. You don't even have to come up with a definite plan of action, just lay the groundwork for your subconscious and it will do the rest.
Skepticism, is a natural deterrent to the transmutation of desire, but it doesn't have to be. We are in control of our own destiny. Why? We have the ability to shape our subconscious to achieve what we desire. Isn't that amazing? And it can all be accomplished through autosuggestion.
