Chapter 10-Power of the Mastermind

POWER may be defined as organized and intelligently directed knowledge.  Napoleon Hill

In network marketing and in any project that one wants to undertake;it can not be done alone. No one person has all the knowledge that is needed. To get organized and intelligently directed knowledge one must seek out other sources than oneself.  Infinite intelligence or God is one source, accumulated experience which can be found in a well-equipped library, and experiment and research are all places to find the knowledge we need.   Accumulated experience of others is organized in a library but it is experience that has already happened. To get knowledge that is up to date one must seek out people who are known to be authorities in whatever kind of knowledge you are seeking.

This is where a mastermind of two or more people is very valuable.  When choosing a mastermind group we have to think about what kind of expertise we need.  Many times we know people with expertise but they aren’t willing to share or are too busy to do so.  A mastermind group must be one that each person in the group has a vested interest, whatever the definite purpose might be.  Each person wants the project or business to succeed and will do everything they can toward its success.  They are willing to do whatever it takes.

Being a part of a mastermind group can be a learning experience which no other way of life can be.  There must be a leader but he must recognize that the individual members of the mastermind has something to contribute.  In the meetings of the mastermind there can be a different leader each time you meet which means each person in the mastermind is recognized for his capabilities and in turn will know others in the group can be called on for their expertise. Every person in the group has faith that solutions are available not just from themselves but the others in the group, and it will seem like a force such as infinite intelligence is responsible as well.

When a group of individual brains are coordinated and function in Harmony, the increased energy created through that alliance, becomes available to every individual brain in the group.  Napoleon Hill
