Chapter 6- Imagination-Workshop of the Mind
Imagination is where the impulse of Desire is given shape and action through the imaginative faculty of the mind.
Everyone has an imagination. The only thing that is lacking is the imaginative faculty has not been used. This happens when a person has all the material things he needs in his life or he doesn’t use the material things he does have imaginatively. Most people have ideas and wishes but they have never thought of putting them into reality which takes imagination.
Imagination has been called,” the workshop of he mind,” by Mr. Hill because to use our imagination we need to have an impulse of desire so the desire is given shape and action. This desire must have a definiteness of purpose and it will take on an animation, life and power of its own. The ideas that come with this definiteness of purpose and desire need determination, and persistent effort. This is work. Our minds need to be reminded of this work that must be done daily or our mind will find other ideas and desires to think about.
