CHAPTER 4- AUTO-SUGGESTION

My son, Jeremy, was 19 when he walked guard duty

in Saudi Arabia. It was January 1990 and the Gulf War

had just started. He has told me of the loneliness of

those dark nights. He witnessed the firing of the first

Patriotic Missile, and later traveling in the desert of

Arabia having to guard their camp in the pitch blackness

of that terrain.

I visualized being on guard hearing a sound in the

darkness and barking the command, “Halt, Who Goes

There!” hoping to hear a friendly recognizable voice.

When not sure who it is you shout, “Stand and Identify

yourself!” and you call the duty officer with the identity

acknowledge as correct.

No thought, idea, dream or identity, whether it be

negative or positive, can gain entrance to the camp of

the SUBCONSCIOUS MIND without applying the PRINCIPLE

OF AUTO-SUGGESTION. As Mr. Hill stated “all sense

impressions which are perceived through the five senses,

are stopped by the CONSCIOUS thinking mind, and may

be either passed on to the subconscious mind, or rejected,

at will. The conscious faculty serves, therefore, as an outer

-guard to the approach of the subconscious.”

The guard to the camp of the subconscious mind is the

conscious thinking mind. This mind will alone allow that

which the officer on duty, the subconscious mind, recognizes

which are those seeds, ideas and dreams pre-planted by

AUTO-SUGGESTION, or self-talk. God has given us absolute

control over the material which reaches our subconscious

mind, through his five senses, but man does not always exercise

this control.

“AUTO-SUGGESTION is the agency of control through which

an individual may voluntarily feed his subconscious mind on

thoughts of a creative nature, or, by neglect, permit thoughts of

a destructive nature to find their way into this rich garden of the

mind.” Napoleon Hill

I know for me to reach the riches I desire, I must build within

my subconscious mind the identity of the 12 riches. This I can

and will accomplish through my self-talk such as, “Everyone I

contact Wants to business with Me. I am Receiving 5 downloads

Daily!” Or “This is the Day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and

be glad in it!”, Or “I am Living in Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance,

Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control!”

In the time I have participated in MFF the chief lesson I have

learned is to change and grow, my message (autosuggestion or

self-talk) must change to the positive for My Identity, which I can follow.

Thanks, to MFF
