CHAPTER 3 Faith: Visualization of, and
Belief in Attainment of Desire

“All impulses of thought have a tendency to clothe
themselves in their physical equivalent.” Napoleon Hill

Here are important words to latch onto trust, belief,
confidence, conviction, credence, reliance, and dependence
for they are key to understanding Faith.

Billy Graham states, “Faith simply means believing that
something is true, and then committing our lives to it.”

The how for development of faith is a direct connection to
how and what we have been telling ourselves. Faith is fully
attached to what we have been telling our subconscious mind.

Hills writes, “FAITH is a state of mind which may be induced,
or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the
subconscious mind, through the principle of autosuggestion
(self-talk).”

We can and have convinced the subconscious mind that we believe
we will receive that for which we ask, and it will act upon that
belief. In return, the subconscious mind returns those beliefs as
faith. Most people are exactly where their faith has put them.

Here is the fact, faith is a state of mind which you may develop
at will, because it is a state of mind which develops voluntarily,
and the key is what we have told ourselves.

Quoting Hill, “Faith is a state of mind which may be induced by
auto-suggestion.” The repetition of affirmation of orders,
self-talk, to your subconscious mind is the only known method of
voluntary development of the emotion of faith. Yes, faith has to
be developed it does happen automatically. Even the scriptures
show us that the faith of the disciple came about over a period
of 3 years. Moses instructed parents to train their children by
placing the Word of God on the doorpost of their house. Why? So,
to imprint those words upon their heart in order to the guide to
trust or faith in God.

We come to Mentoring for Free seeking answers to the failures
and frustrations we have experienced in our networking businesses.
One of the first things we are instructed to do is to change the
messages we have been giving ourselves. Michael Dlouhy was said if
you want more you have to become more. The answer to the "how"
question was simply “self-talk” How to change your path self-talk
mixed with emotion and action. Self-talk because any impulse of
thought which is repeatedly passed on to the subconscious mind is,
finally, accepted and acted (faith) upon by the subconscious mind.
This new faith and new impulses will be translated to its physical
equivalent.

Remember Hills words, “All thoughts which have been emotionalized,
(given feeling) and mixed with faith
begin immediately to translate
themselves into their physical equivalent or counterpart. The
emotions, or the “feeling” portion of thoughts, are the factors
which give thoughts vitality, life, and action.”

Thank you, Linda and Michael Dlouhy for being an example of living
in faith. Bob Shoaf thanks for the friendship and being a partner on
this journey. Thanks to everyone participating in the calls for sharing
your faith and wisdom. My deepest gratitude to everyone who
downloaded “Success in 10 Steps” and gives me the opportunity to serve

you.
