CHAPTER 5-SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE,
PERSONAL EXPERIENCES OR OBSERVATIONS
The Fourth Step

I would imagine that most of you have watched or played the
Jeopardy game. A player comes prepared with a head full of the
facts. Most of these facts are general knowledge information.
They are banking on that they will know more facts than the
other players. The handicap of general knowledge is that no
matter how great in quantity or variety it may be, it is of
little use in the accumulation of money.

Real applied knowledge comes through a practical plan of
action
, to the definite end of accumulation of money, is that
which attracts wealth. Knowledge is a potential power only
when and if, it is organized into definite plans of action,
and directed to a definite end.

I believe education starts with general knowledge
(schooling) is weak and empty if it is not organized and used
with specialized knowledge. Specialized knowledge is found in
the act of doing, observing the success of others and
participating in a “Master Mind” group such as Mentoring for  Free.

Specialized knowledge is a special knowledge possessed by an
individual of the petitioning organization's product, service,
research, equipment, techniques, management, or other interests
and its application in international markets, or an advanced
level of knowledge or expertise in the organization's processes
and procedures.

I would imagine that my first run-in with specialize knowledge
was at the age of 3. At 3 my parents had me in the cotton field
picking cotton and putting it into their sack. My specialized
expanded at 5 when I had to fill my own sack. Along the
way growing up on a farm I learned other skills: chopping
cotton, driving a tractor, plowing a field, hauling hay,
cutting silage, milking cows and more. From this, I learned
the specialized knowledge of how to work for pay.

Over the year I learned other specialized knowledge. College
taught me how to study. As a minister, I learned sermon preparation
and speaking. In insurance, I studied selling, marketing, and
working with others.

Why are we call to seek out and discover specialized knowledge?
I found this be a great answer: “To many, it is not knowledge
but the quest for knowledge that gives greater interest to
thought, to travel hopefully is better than to arrive.” (Sir
James Jeans) To search, find and use specialized knowledge to
change, improve and enrich our future.

I find myself at this juncture in specialized knowledge. Learning
how to be a successful network marketer. Like Henry Ford and
Andrew Carnegie, I see the need for a mastermind group composed of
like-minded people on the same path looking for personal freedom
and the accumulation of wealth. To this end, I have attached myself
to Mentoring for Free. I purpose to be here for as many years as
necessary, to be coachable, and to be the person God purposed me
to be.

Thank you, Linda and Michael Dlouhy for bringing and giving your
specialized knowledge to encourage and rebuild each of us into the
real person we are called to be. Bob Shoaf thank being my friend
and mentor? To my Mentoring for Free family for the wisdom, each
of you brings to the weekly calls.

A special thanks to everyone who downloaded “Success in !0 Steps”
and have joined me on this journey.
