The Mastery of Procrastination!
The Seventh Step Toward Riches…
Since I’ve studied Napoleon Hill, Emmet Fox & Dr. Robert Schuller for so many years, some of what is being taught here is like a refresher course… Please don’t get me wrong, because I’m really enjoying these lessons again… I think I felt one of my “God Nudges” & that’s what’s compelling me to study them again… I like being able to study them in text & audio together… I think it helps me to retain the lesson better…
I learned a long time ago not to let the opinions of others influence my decisions… I would have never quit smoking cold turkey or made it through recovery if I hadn’t learned that… My desire to quit smoking & drinking was strong enough to help me through it all… I will be eternally grateful for that… My desire paved the way for me to work out a Definite Plan as to what I needed to accomplish so I could live the rest of my life the way I saw fit… I was taught to be grateful that us humans have two ears & only one mouth…
It did take courage once that Definite Decision was made… That gave me the opportunity to form an Organized Plan… I decided to get a divorce because I wanted to quit & he didn’t… His loss! I had to change all my friends because I no longer fit into the “scene”… When at work I would sit alone because I didn’t want to participate in the chatty, useless gossip… I didn’t miss it… Those times gave me a lot of time to reflect on & reinforce the things I needed to change… I had a solid Sunday School education when I was a little girl… I always believed in Jesus & loved the Bible stories… When in AA I learned of the God of “My Understanding”… That put things for me in their proper perspective… I am grateful to so many for so much, especially those in AA, without whom I might not have made the transition… I learned the hard way how to “Think for myself”, but it caused me to get good at it…
These days I am a Happy Networker, Senior Blogger & Mentor In Training… I learned from the real “Patch Adams” to practice “Extraordinary Happyness” on a daily basis… I am probably one of the happiest people you’ll ever meet… My long term sobriety is my reward for accomplishing my goals… I wouldn’t have it any other way…
