Chapter 3 - Faith
Hill tells us right from the beginning of this chapter on
how we can have faith.
He writes "Repetition of affirmation of orders to your subconscious
mind is the only known method of voluntary development
of the emotion of faith. The emotions, or the “feeling” portion of thoughts, are the
factors which give thoughts vitality, life, and action."
In other words, self talk with emotional feelings bring
about faith in whatever we desire to accomplish.
Dwight L. Moody tells us "Faith makes all things possible... love
makes all things easy."
If we love what we do and have faith, we can accomplish anything
and none of it will seem like work.
Arlen Price once wrote, “Where the heart is willing,
it will find a thousand ways; but where it is unwilling,
it will find a thousand excuses.”
Faith does not reside in the mind of the unwilling.
Saint Augustine has stated "Faith is to believe what you
do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe."
When we have the faith to believe in what we do not
see we will be willing to do the work until we can attain
and we will love every minute along the way.
Jon Huntsman, Sr. stated "I would say to you, have faith in
yourself - believe in what you are doing, and, most important,
be a person of integrity. It is totally up to you, and no one
else, how your life evolves."
