Chapter 14 The Sixth Sense
The Door to the Temple of Wisdom
The 13th Step Towards Riches
Hill mentions that the Sixth Sense is that portion of the Subconscious mind which has been referred to as the Creative Imagination.
It is the “receiving set” through which ideas, plans & thoughts flash into the mind. The “flashes” are sometimes called “hunches” or “inspirations.”
I remember in 2016, I had to pick up a prescription from CVS Pharmacy in East Orange, NJ. My husband & I noticed that several police squad cars sped past us while we were on our way to CVS. We knew without a doubt that something was wrong.
When we reached the pharmacy, I went in and Shawn remained in the car. A young man wielding a long knife started walking towards the entrance door. The manager on duty, rushed to the door and locked it.
In the meantime, my husband Shawn was sitting in the car with the windows down. His sixth sense kicked in and advised him to lock his doors and close his windows.
In about 2 minutes or less, several police officers arrived on the scene. They were able to convince him to drop the knife without shooting him. He was arrested at that point and removed from the area.
The Manager’s sixth sense kicked in to warn him to lock the doors and prevent anyone from entering or exiting the store. I was concerned about my husband but knew everyone had to remain inside the Pharmacy. He gets too comfortable at times but for his safety from the Police and the perpetrator he locked his doors and closed the windows.
We later found out that this guy threatened his grandmother with the knife and decided to go for a walk with the knife in his hand.
The Sixth Sense is always at work in our lives. Also, in that situation, it was our Sixth Sense working right along with Common Sense.
