Hill tells us that “Through the aid of the sixth sense, you will be warned of impending dangers in time to avoid them, and notified of opportunities in time to embrace them.

There comes to your aid, and to do your bidding, with the development of the sixth sense, a “guardian angel” who will open to you at all times the door to the Temple of Wisdom.

I have had many times in my life were I felt that there was a guardian angel looking over me as I drove a truck for 40 years and a motorcycle for most of my life. I am a little bit confused I have to admit at why I was warned by the sixth sense without having mastered the other 12 principals. I will say that now that I have a much better understanding of those other 12.  I do have urgings or hunches if you will much more often and here are some examples.

Back during the summer after my wife had passed I was planning on riding my motorcycle to a company event in Florida. I had been looking so forward to taking a bike road trip because my riding had been limited for a long time with my caretaking of Amy. Michael just happened to mention that there were three other guys going down there that were in the mastermind and that if I should decide to ride with them I should just think of the masterminding we could do on the way. Well I sure didn't want to hear that because I was dying to ride my bike but I knew in my heart he was right and the hunch was confirming that and as it turned out it was a great time getting to know three great friends, Marty, Len, Nick. And we DID have some great masterminding.

The second instance here recently was that I was planning to go ride motorcycles in late February with a buddy living in Thailand. He has a house and the motorcycles so all I would have to do is pay my airfare over there. My company has big plans for growth this year and I am finally to the point where I have everything in place to break it wide open. I have a company convention in a couple of weeks and then in my heart of hearts a hunch told me that if I went off riding motorcycles for three weeks it would really crush any momentum I had after convention so i discussed it with Tuula and she agreed so I had confirmation and postponed the trip.

The third was a colors training clients call this past Thursday night. There was a rare opportunity to ask questions and I had one about something that wasn't working for me. Michael said if anyone has a question ask now and nobody else was asking and that hunch told me to go and ask and I’m so glad I did because I got a great answer. And from now on when I have questions I will never assume that I should already know that or it is a stupid one.

And yesterday I took a bike ride over to New Orleans to have lunch and put miles on my bike so I can get closer to my 24 service so I can get it done before my trip to convention. I was on my way from downtown to Metairie and had just exited off I-10 on to Veterans. I saw a minivan merging and I was almost right beside it and I just knew that she was going to do something stupid and they never disappoint. She didn't even look my way and if I hadn't been ready to brake hard she would've swerved right into me. I was totally in the right. Michael talks about being right or rich but on a bike it’s right or dead.

The last one confuses me because I know my step daughter has not mastered any of those 12 principles. She was coming to help me with Amy as my caretaking had gotten increasingly harder. She left Pennsylvania at 3 o'clock in the morning determined to drive all way through. I told her, don't push it Madalyn, we have plenty of friends in Atlanta you can spend the night with to break up the trip but she just kept on coming, just stopping for gas.

She got here around 5pm and visited with Amy for a couple of hours and then Amy was gone. How does that happen without the sixth sense? ( I’m referring to and assuming that she didn’t yet have it without mastery. ) Am I overthinking this?

All this just to say that I am a firm believer in the sixth sense principle even though I don’t completely understand it. Thank you, thank you, thank you Linda and Michael for believing in us and thank you to all my mastermind friends and partners for your brilliance and point of view that idea by reading your lessons.

P.S. Something that I had to add that to me is very important in using the sixth sense is awarness. I think it is critical to be aware of your surroundings at all times. People get robbed or beaten ( sometimes shot ) because they are not prepared and aware of their surroundings. I do think that when you do practice awareness that your sixth sense is somehow heightened.
