Chapter 13 - The Brain

"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human
heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of
the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget
food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - by Nikola Tesla.

Do we look at building our business as "some creation of the
brain" - our brain, our creation?  If we think about it, building
our business is a "new creation" and we are the ones creating it.

Is it not thrilling when we connect with someone that sees
"the picture" as we do and is willing to put in the effort to
build, is coachable and participates in the process because
they want to?  When we share and move forward we can be so
excited and motivated that we "forget food, sleep, friends,
love, everything; all our energies are directed to building
our business.  When we recognize that we learn something new
and how to apply it, is it not thrilling?

Arnold Bennett tells us "There can be no knowledge without emotion.
We may be aware of a truth, yet until we have felt its force, it
is not ours. To the cognition of the brain must be added the
experience of the soul."

So when we are building "our creation" and we are not experiencing
that "thrill" we need to examine "why" and what do we need to do
to experience that thrill.  We are using the Mentoring for Free
System to build our business and get on the Mentoring For Free calls
and yet we don't feel we gain anything.  Again, we need to ask "why".

The reason may be in what Benjamin Franklin stated years ago
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."

Involvement is key.  Without involvement there is, as Nikola Tesla
stated no "thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt
by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success"
We are the inventor, we need to see the thrill of our creation unfolding
and that will not happen without involvement.

Get on the calls, speak up, participate, write a lesson, read all the
lessons and get involved.

Watching a baseball game, a hockey game, or a football game can be thrilling but
more thrilling than that is actually being in the game as one of the
players.

As George Bernard Shaw wrote "Life isn't about finding yourself.
Life is about creating yourself."
