PERSISTENCE: THE SUSTAINED EFFORT NECESSARY TO INDUCE FAITH
The Eighth Step toward Riches
PERSISTENCE is an essential factor in the procedure of transmuting DESIRE into its monetary equivalent. The basis of persistence is the POWER OF WILL.
Will-power and desire, when properly combined, make an irresistible pair. Men who accumulate great fortunes are generally known as cold-blooded, and sometimes ruthless. Often they are misunderstood. What they have is willpower, which they mix with persistence, and place back of their desires to insure the attainment of their objectives.
Henry Ford has been generally misunderstood to be ruthless and coldblooded. This misconception grew out of Ford’s habit of following through in all of his plans with PERSISTENCE.
The majority of people are ready to throw their aims and purposes overboard, and give up at the first sign of opposition or misfortune. A few carry on DESPITE all opposition, until they attain their goal. These few are the Fords, Carnegies, Rockefellers, and Edisons.
My biggest obstacle has been wanting things to be perfect before I implement them...but I now understand that I must take action and make adjustments as necessary. Persistent action kills procrastination!!! The main things that I've been persistent with are working my job and being on MFF calls...And I can clearly see which one of the two is more beneficial!!!
I've never been the person that says I can't...I've been taught certain things the wrong way, and gotten discouraged due to the negative responses...but I HATE saying that because it's nothing more than an EXCUSE!!! I was a decent football player, but I was never taught the habits, persistence, or work ethics of a professional. I was a junior going into my senior year before I ever went to a football camp...I was awarded most outstanding linebacker. My first and only camp...I never had anyone that could teach me what it took to play on the next level...no one in my personal life is a professional football player. I could've been a lot better, but it was always great job Nick that was a good game. Looking back I wish that I had someone that would've pushed me harder and always told me that you can always get better, there's always room for improvement...A coach/mentor...Someone like Mr. D!!!
Today I have AMAZING MENTORS that are MLM professionals, life coaches, and personal friends...I must become more persistent in my life and become more like Linda and Michael Dlouhy, Bob Shoaf, Tuula Rands, Ken Klemm, and all of the powerful members of this amazing mastermind here at MFF. The knowledge and proven system is here...so what's my EXCUSE for not becoming more???
Patience, persistence, and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success. - Napoleon Hill
