Chapter 9 Persistence
PERSISTENCE: THE SUSTAINED EFFORT NECESSARY TO INDUCE FAITH
As I begin each lesson, I look for the meaning of which it should be exactly. Not what I assume it to be. I have found with my lessons so far, the meanings are not always understood the way it should be relating to these lessons.
Persistence is the ability to stick with something.
After I read this lesson I came to a profound understanding.
It was as if the lesson was reaching out to me. I very recently joined this group, with hopes of creating a way to have all my desires come true. I do realize I need to be guided thru this process with instructions on building a stronger "fire for my desires".
Today I have decided to do as the lessons instruct. last week I took away a big message from that meeting, it was, I make my decisions about everything. Now I am very aware of what I decide to do with every hour of my day.
I am now committed to learning the four habits of PERSISTENCE.
HOW TO DEVELOP PERSISTENCE
"1. A definite PURPOSE BACKED BY BURNING DESIRE FOR ITS
I HAVE A DEFINITE PURPOSE
"2. A DEFINITE PLAN, EXPRESSED IN CONTINUOUS ACTION."
I DO NOT HAVE A PLAN AT THIS TIME, BUT I AM WAITING FOR IT TO
COME TO ME.
"3. A MIND CLOSED TIGHTLY AGAINST ALL NEGATIVE AND DISCOURAGING
influences including negative suggestions of relatives, friends, and acquaintances."
NO, I AM NOT ABLE TO SHARE ANY OF THIS WITH ANYONE I KNOW.
"4. A friendly ALLIANCE WITH ONE OR MORE PERSONS WHO WILL
ENCOURAGE ONE TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH BOTH PLAN AND PURPOSE."
I HAVE THAT IN A PERSON I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR, THANK YOU
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
My thoughts are now continuously controlled by my desires.
I will work at this for as long as it takes for me to have what Napoleon Hill called "MONEY CONSCIOUSNESS".
