FINALLY!!! It is with a JOYFUL heart that I can now say that my time as Manager/Dry Cleaner of Premier Cleaners No. 9 is FINISHED! With ALL PERSISTENCE during the past long, hot, FOUR MONTHS, I have gone through all the emotions, weaning myself from Premier Cleaners No. 9, and have now been successfully ABORTED (but not destroyed!) by the new-ish Owner.  God is GOOD! He has orchestrated my days there.  I turned in my 2-week Letter of Resignation last week.  Next Wednesday, I will celebrate my FREEDOM! The new owner has done everything in his power to destroy that business, and has THWARTED all of my efforts to make sure it succeeds.  I helped BIRTH that business, and worked with PERSISTENCE to NURTURE it with all diligence....  And now the racks are bear....  And you know what? That's okay with me....

I knew the number FOUR meant something Biblically, so I looked it up.  PERFECT!!! ...

The Meaning of Numbers: The Number 4

The number 4 derives its meaning from creation. On the fourth day of what is called 'creation week' God completed the material universe. On this day he brought into existence our sun, the moon, and all the stars (Genesis 1:14 - 19). Their purpose was not only to give off light, but also to divide the day from the night on earth, thus becoming a basic demarcation of time. They were also made to be a type of signal that would mark off the days, years and seasons.

Interestingly, the Hebrew word for 'seasons' in Genesis 1:14 is moed (Strong's Concordance #H4150), which literally translated is "appointed times" (divine appointments) in reference to God's festivals. This is the earliest known allusion to what would later be called the Holy (or Feast) days (periods) of worship, which are seven in number.

The 4th of the Ten Commandments is to remember and keep God's holy Sabbath day (Exodus 20:9 - 11). The Sabbath day is tied directly to the creation week. God himself made the period between Friday sunset and Saturday sunset extra special when he rested on it after bringing everything into existence the previous six days (Genesis 2:1 - 3, Exodus 20:11).

And I can proudly say that I worked tirelessly during the past 4 months ... and the past 18-1/2 years prior ... with PERSISTENCE! ...

  1. firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.
"companies must have patience and persistence, but the rewards are there"

And now, I am running really late to get ready for work, but that's ok.  I need to jump in the shower & be at work in one hour.... AND I WILL!!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Michael D-Louhy, for teaching us so many things pertaining to a successful life and that ... How you do ANYTHING is how you do EVERYTHING!
