Chapter  3

Faith!

From The Book

Think And Grow Rich,

No One is Doomed to Bad Luck.

Hill tells us!

From this statement, you will understand that the

Subconscious mind will translate into its physical equivalent

A thought impulse of a negative or destructive nature, just

As readily as it will act upon thought impulses of a positive or

Constructive  nature.

When growing up my parents and Grandparents, would take

Me and my brother and sister to Sunday School and Church

Every Sunday.

I had FAITH that if I lived by the 10 Commandments I would

Stay out of jail and prison, (Exodus 20: 1-17).

What about the person that’s raised up in a negative world,

Nothing but bad things going on in his world, can that person

Change?  I read a book a few years back about this kid,

His name was Nicky, growing up in New York City, he joined

His first gang when he was 15 years old.  He said it gave him

A sense of belonging, like being part of a family. In a short

period of time he worked his way up to being the leader, he

was in and out of jail a few times, social workers gave up on

him, one social worker told him, you are on a one way street

jail, prison, the electric chair and hell.  Sometime later him

and his gang got word their was going to be a preacher

preaching in their neighborhood, they went to see this guy

preach.  Their came a time during the sermon, when the

preacher said, I am asking my friends, and he named off

Nicky gang to take up a collection.   Everybody knows what’s

About to happen, Nicky and his gang are going to step out the

Side door and be gone. Nicky led his gang all the way up to the

Preacher, he told his gang on the way up, the preacher he is

Going to get all this money.

From that night on, Nicky started a long journey changing

His mind set from negative to a more positive mind set.

Some time later, Nicky talked about that night, it was the first

Time somebody had  put a lot of confidence,

And FAITH, that him and his gang were going to do the right

Thing, this over whelming feeling came over him, that he was

Not going to let the preacher down.  Nicky went on to bible

School and became a successful preacher.

You treat people the way they could be, and they become what

They should be.  (Les Brown)
