Chapter 12, Subconscious Mind
Napoleon Hill Quotes a poem that really caught my eye in reading the chapter this time:He Quotes as follows:
“Ella Wheeler Wilcox gave evidence of her understanding of the power of the subconscious mind when she wrote:
“Your never can tell what a thought will do in bringing you hate or love—
For thoughts are things, and their airy wings
Are swifter than carrier doves,
They follow the law of the universe—
Each thing creates its kind, ,
And they speed O’er the track to bring you back
Whatever went out from your mind.
Why will a thought bring back hate or love is what came to my mind? It is because our mind is influenced by thoughts of others, not only what they are thinking at the moment but it can come from their subconscious mind too.
Miss Ella says they, thoughts that is, follow the law of the universe. She says,”Each thing creates its kind and they speed O’er the track to bring you back Whatever went our from your mind. On its travels though it gets mixed up with other thoughts or things that make an impression which causes a reaction sometimes that can be negative or positive.
This is when we have to take control. We can control our thoughts so we have to decide whether the result is going to be positive or negative. O:ur imagination can help with this as well as any of the other thirteen principles. We have to learn to develop all of them in a positive way.
This is powerful. Our subconscious minds really do have control and we have to step in and learn how to use our positive thoughts to cancel the negative ones, thoughts that is.
