Chapter 8 - Decision
Hill writes "When Jefferson finished, the document, (the Declaration of Independence) was voted upon, accepted,
and signed by the fifty-six men, every one staking his own life upon his DECISION to write his name.
By that DECISION came into existence a nation destined to bring to mankind forever, the privilege of making DECISIONS.
By decisions made in a similar spirit of Faith, and only by such decisions, can men solve their personal problems,
and win for themselves high estates of material and spiritual wealth. Let us not forget this!"
Keri Russell tells us "Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever."
We make decisions everyday and a lot of the decisions we have made have become habits and we
are so used to them we do them without thinking.
If we want to make a change, whether it be a business change, a job change or a personal change
we have to make a decision. We can take advantage of the privilege of making decisions or we can
fall into the habit some people have become use to of waiting for others to make our decisions for us.
Some will say I don't want to decide now I will just wait on it. In either case we have made a decision,
and maybe not a verywise one.
Herbert V. Prochnow" has stated "There is a time when we must firmly choose the course which we
will follow or the endless drift of events will make the decision for us."
We may not be very happy with the "endless drift of events" and where it takes us.
Maria Shriver tells us "You can spend the rest of your life trying to figure out what other people expect
from you, or you can make a decision to let that all go."
I believe we have all at some point in our lives "been there, done that". Thankfully we are learning from
these Think & Grow Rich Mastermind calls to think for ourselves and not worry about what others think
That all takes us to the point of "we have a choice" in everything. Are we going to take advantage of the
privilege we have of making DECISIONS.
Tony Robbins tells us "A real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken a new action.
If there's no action, you haven't truly decided.
