Chapter 2-Desire

When we want to set a goal we always have thoughts about that goal.  In order for the goal to become a reality it must become a burning Desire.

I have had thoughts and they have become desires but one thing that was lacking was a burning desire.  As I read this chapter this time I cam across words that had a new meaning to me.  I also started reading a a book by Rhonda Byrne called,”the Secret.”

This is what I have learned.

Is this a goal that I want right away or is it one that can wait? If it is a goal when am I going to accomplish that goal?  i have had goals since I have been in this business and the time I have put down to accomplish that goal has passed and the goal has not been accomplished.  Why? I have finally read Chapter 2 called Desire in this “Think and Grow Rich” Book and really thought about  what I have done.

Did I have a belief that I could accomplish this goal?  Yes, but not a burning desire.  I kept this goal a secret  in my mind and it just stayed there and decayed.  I lacked open-mindedness.  I let opportunities pass by without taking advantage of them.

Did I have a REAL    DREAM  of what I wanted to do when I accomplished this goal? No.  The dream was a big dream that needed to be taken in steps.  The first step was to have my thoughts fixed on this dream so much that I could picture in my mind exactly what I would have.  I also let negative thoughts come and they cancelled all thoughts of what my dream was about.

Concentration of what my dream is all about and organizing my thoughts to accomplish one step at a time instead of thinking all the steps will be accomplished all at the same time.

When a person has their dream organized in such a way the belief that is needed is much stronger, there is self-confidence,and there is magnetism.  People are attracted to a person that is organized, has a belief, has self-confidence.

i will end with the following quote from Napoleon Hill:

"The greatest achievement was, at first, and for a time, but a dream.  The oak sleeps in the acorn.  The bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul, a waking angel stirs.DREAMS ARE THE SEEDLINGS OF REALITY.
