Tha Starting Point of All Achievement

The First Step toward Riches

Barnes Desire was Definite -- This desire had been a dominating desire

for a long time.  It was I'll do whatever it takes desire  -- All boats had been

burned -- so there was no escape.

Barnes was determined and a few years later Barnes stood before Edison,

his DESIRE had been translated into realilty.  HE WAS IN BUSINESS WITH

EDISON.  The dominating DREAM OF HIS LIFE had become a realilty.

It was not an overnight success, Barnes worked doing whatever he was asked

until the opportunity  showed up.  And then other people envied him, not thinking

to look behind the scenes to determine what made this happen.

We can look at history "The Chicago Fire"  -- Only one merchant chose to stay in

Chicago "Marshal Field"  and he is the one we all remember, because he stayed

and prospered.

Wishing will not bring riches.  But desiring riches with a state of mind that becomes

an obsession, then planning definite ways and means to acquire riches, and

backing those plans with persistence which does not recognize failure, will bring

There are six definite, practical steps:

1.  Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire

2.  Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire

3.  Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money

4.  Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire

5.  Write out a clear concise statement of the amount of money  you intend to acquire........

6.  Read your written statement aloud, twice daily......

It may be helpful, to all who fail to recognize the soundness of the six steps, to know

that the information they convey was received from Andrew Carnegie, who began as an

ordinary  laborer in the steel mills, but managed, despite his humble beginning, to make

these principles yield him a fortune of considerably more than one hundred million dollars.

One must realize that all who have accumulated great fortunes -- first did a certain

amount of dreaming, hoping, wishing, DESIRING, and PLANNING before they acuired

You may as well know, right here, that you can never have riches in great quantities,

UNLESS you can work yourself into a white heat of DESIRE for money, and actually

BELIEVE you will possess it.

If you do not see great riches in your imagination, you will never see them in your bank

Napoleon Hill did have the opportunity to test out these principles after his second son

was born without ears -- He had a burning desire for his son to hear in a normal manner

and not to grow up as a deaf mute  -- which he did, as his son grew up to lead a normal.

I recommend you read the details for your self in Think and Grow Rich.

Thanks to Michael and Linda Dlouhy for providing this platform for all of us to learn and

grow into the people that we were meant to be.
