You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it.  ~Einstein

We have to change what we are continually thinking!

I have been listening to a lot of Harv Ever lately and like some of his explanations. He says that within us there is a true self and a false self. Our false self is basically a recording, a tape of everything that we have been taught or what we have gathered from our life experiences and it constantly runs, it is automatic, it’s our subconscious mind. He speaks about the medulla which is the lower part of the brain which sits at the base of the skull. It is also known as the reptilian brain and it’s main function is survival-fight or flight, its job is to separate and direct the flow of information to the rest of the brain. It is basically a filter and our filter of the world is an information director who is primarily based in survival and fear. it is constantly telling us to watch out for this or that, be careful or you might get hurt. on and on the recording goes. So we have to reprogram that conditioned mind by recording over that old tape or bypassing it altogether. How do we do that? Well the first thing we have to do it recognized what it is telling us by listening. Michael always teaches how to listen when we are on the phone and we have to listen to what our minds are telling us just as intently. I personally think that AWARENESS is key because of the fact that I have been shocked sometimes when I realize some of the things that it is saying on auto pilot. Then when we hear what it’s saying we have to follow with thanks for sharing or cancel and bombard it with our self talk. It is that important because Hill says “ the presence of a single negative in your conscious mind is sufficient to destroy all chances of constructive aid from your subconscious mind.”

That brings us to the True self which is where we desire to be, living from our inner power, the thoughts that  we choose to believe. Hill also says ‘that thoughts which go out from one’s mind, also imbed themselves deeply in one’s subconscious mind, where they serve as a magnet, pattern, or blueprint by which the subconscious mind is influenced while translating them into their physical equivalent. Thoughts are truly things, for the reason that every material thing begins in the form of thought-energy.” And that thought energy has to be mixed with emotion for our desired result.

Eker says that 90% of the thoughts that go through the medulla or our filter of the world are fear or anxiety based and that is how many of us come praying. It seems like many of us pray when there is a problem that we are focused on and need an answer to so if we are praying out of fear and anxiety while we pray it only makes sense that we will get more of the same.

The subconscious mind is a powerful thing, stubborn and relentless in getting it’s own way it seems but I am thankful that we do have some power over it if we are willing to put in the effort to take control and change it. I am thankful that i have this mastermind and for Linda and Michael for providing the platform.
