Chapter 7 Organized Planning
As we all know, not all plans go they way they are planned.
Sometimes things happen and we have no choice but to change
our plans to get the end result. The result may be the same
but the plan to get there may have to be different.
In the past few weeks we have moved. We began with a
plan to take one load and put it away and take another load
and put it away and so on until it was all moved and then when
finished it would all be in place. It was such a wonderful plan!
It did, however, not turn out the way we planned. At the beginning
I fell and hurt my right shoulder and my Chiropractor told me not
to lift anything. Oh sure - how do you move without lifting!
Well I could not move without lifting so I did the best I could
using mostly my left arm. Needless to say the progress of moving
was slowed down and instead of taking one load and putting it into
its new place we had to just take it to the new place and leave
it there to be unpacked latter.
To make matters worse a few days into the move I tripped and hurt
my left foot so now my walking was hampered as well, so again a little
slower in the moving. We did eventually get everything moved but none
of it went as planned.
Sometimes it is the same in owr Network Marketing business. We set goals
and plans on how we are going to accomplish them and life has a way
of putting obstacles in owr way and we have to take a detour and change
our plans on how we will accomplish our desires. We don't quit just because
we have to change the plan.
I could not quit moving because I injured myself. We sold the property
and there was only so much time for the move to be complete. The
beauty of Network Marketing is that if we have to change our plans there
is no time limit as to when it has to be accomplished. We can accomplish
our goal in a year, 5 years, 10 years or however long we want.
As Hill tells us "If the first plan which you adopt does not work successfully,
replace it with a new plan, if this new plan fails to work, replace it, in turn
with still another, and so on, until you find a plan which DOES WORK. Right
here is the point at which the majority of men meet with failure, because of
their lack of PERSISTENCE in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail."
A quote by Brandon Jenner "Sometimes we let life guide us, and other times we take
life by the horns. But one thing is for sure: no matter how organized we are, or how
well we plan, we can always expect the unexpected."
