Chapter 3 Faith.

For me, the following two lines completely sum up both this chapter and the real power of ‘Daily self-talk spoken and where possible read, many times a day with passion, belief and visualization.

“faith is a state of mind, and that it may be induced by self-suggestion.” And

“FAITH is the “eternal elixir” which gives life, power, and action to the impulse of thought!”

Hill even provides the exact formulae we should follow if we want those dreams and ambitions to become our reality, “By following the instructions laid down in the chapters on auto-suggestion, and the subconscious mind, as summarized in the chapter on auto-suggestion, you may CONVINCE the subconscious mind that you believe you will receive that for which you ask, and it will act upon that belief, which your subconscious mind passes back to you in the form of “FAITH,” followed by definite plans for procuring that which you desire.”

Over the years many millions of people have read Think and Grow Rich, for many, myself included, that is all that happened, we read the book and life moved on undisturbed by the words we had read. Only a tiny percentage, including all who chose to associate themselves with the Mentoring for Free Mastermind Group over the last twelve years, have taken the time to try to get a better understanding of what Hill was trying to teach us.

Along the way some fell by the wayside, stopped connecting with those who freely give of their time and expertise, stopped adding their brilliance and stopped using Daily self- talk. For most of those I have come across, their reasoning seemed to be they quit mainly because they felt it was taking too long for them to see any benefit, just like the man who stopped three feet short of hitting gold.

Nowhere in the book does Hill tell us it will be fast or easy, he simply states the system, if properly applied and followed, will work for everyone who gives it the time. I also believe that like Walter C. Barnes, we must be ready to recognise and seize our opportunity when it presents itself. In other words, we need to have FAITH.

With thanks to every Coach, contributor and reader for their support and to Michael and Linda for their constancy and patience.
